Essential Restore
The right call for lightly hazed headlights and cars you're planning to sell soon.
- Multi-stage wet sand (600 → 2000 grit)
- Machine polish for optical clarity
- UV sealant protection
- Paint & trim masking
- 6-month clarity assurance
Premium mobile headlight restoration. Multi-stage wet sanding, machine polish, and professional-grade ceramic coating — with a 2-year clarity guarantee the wipe-on kits can't touch.
Every gas-station "headlight cleaner" and $20 kit from the auto parts store fails the same way — they hide oxidation for six weeks, then it comes back worse. We go further, because the finish has to survive Yonkers winters, Bronx River Parkway sun, and everything in between.
Wipe-on kits skip correction entirely — they just cover the yellow with a temporary gloss. We wet-sand through 6 progressive grits, machine polish the lens back to optical clarity, then bond a real UV coating on top.
Our Elite Ceramic Shield is backed in writing. If your lenses haze within 24 months of coating, we come back and re-do them. No arguments, no fine print, no "wear and tear" clause.
We come to you — home, work, apartment lot. No taking a day off to sit in a shop waiting room. Ninety minutes and your car looks factory-new again.
Every tier uses different materials, different labor, and comes with a different protection window. Pick the one that matches how long you plan to keep the car.

Full correction with synthetic sealant. The best value for daily drivers.
Correction plus professional-grade ceramic. The finish that outlasts the car payment.
Add-ons: Severely oxidized lens +$20 each · Third or fourth lens (SUV/truck fogs) +$25 each · Travel outside 10 miles of Yonkers +$1/mile.
Photograph your headlights, note oxidation severity, confirm the right tier.
Automotive-grade tape shields your paint and trim from any abrasive.
Six grit stages — 600, 800, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 — each fully removing the previous stage's marks.
Wool cutting pad, then foam finishing pad. Compound then polish. This is where optical clarity comes back.
Isopropyl wipe-down. The lens has to be chemically clean before coating — this step is why other jobs fail.
Professional ceramic coating applied and leveled. Bonds to the polycarbonate for a true UV barrier.
Cure under shade. Final inspection under LED light. Handoff with a written care card.
Real lenses. Same angle, same light, same day. No filters, no re-shoot after we drove away.

Elite Ceramic Shield jobs come with a signed guarantee: if your lenses cloud, haze, or yellow within 24 months of the coating date, we come back and restore them. Free. Once.
Covers UV oxidation and clarity loss. Does not cover physical damage (rock chips, cracks, curb strikes) or clouding caused by internal moisture ingress from a broken housing seal — those are hardware failures we can't fix with a coating.
Get the guarantee★★★★★"I've had a $30 kit done at a shop before — it looked good for maybe two months. Empire City did my Accord in an hour in my driveway. Six months in, still crystal clear."
— M. Rodriguez · Yonkers, 2013 Honda Accord
★★★★★"Showed up when he said he would, laid down a mat so nothing got on my driveway, and walked me through what he was doing. Fair price and a written guarantee. Worth every dollar."
— J. Patel · Bronxville, 2016 Toyota Highlander
★★★★★"Was going to buy new headlight assemblies for $400 each. He restored both for $169 and they look factory. Only mobile detailer in Yonkers who did the ceramic coating instead of just a wipe-on."
— A. Nguyen · Riverdale, 2011 Nissan Altima
60 to 90 minutes for a standard sedan pair. SUVs with heavier oxidation or 4-lens setups can run 2 hours. We book jobs with buffer time so we're never rushing your finish.
Essential (UV sealant): six months to a year, depending on how much your car sits in direct sun. Premium (synthetic sealant): 12–18 months typical. Elite (ceramic): 2+ years — we back that in writing.
The reason wipe-on kits from the parts store fail so fast is they never remove the oxidation underneath. We do, every time.
Yes. Driveway, apartment complex lot, workplace lot, street parking — anywhere with a stable spot and enough shade for the coating to cure. If the lot has posted restrictions, we can meet at a nearby location instead.
We reschedule at no charge. The ceramic coating needs a dry, controlled environment for the first 30 minutes of cure time. Light overcast is fine — active rain isn't.
Restoration corrects surface oxidation on polycarbonate lenses. If the housing seal has failed and moisture is getting inside, or the lens itself is cracked, that's a hardware issue that needs a replacement assembly. We'll tell you honestly during inspection.
Card, tap-to-pay, cash, Zelle, or Cash App. Card readers work in the driveway. Deposits for scheduling are optional — most first-time customers pay on completion.

Do not wash the car for 48 hours after ceramic. After that, normal washing is fine — avoid automated brush washes for the first two weeks. We include a written care card with every job.
